-The games chain chomps are in: SMB3, SMW2, SMRPG, SM64, YS, SMS,sm64ds,mkds,mkdd,and maybe more(will update when more are found)! -various mario parties,paper mario 1 & 2, mario golf toadstool, mario baseball

To identify a chain chomp, look at the pictures below, or look for a big, black sphere with a red mouth and very sharp teeth. they are usually attached to a pole by a chain. They can vary in sizes from being very small to very BIG.

When these enemies first appeared, we found them in super mario bros. 3. they were about heads height and were tied to a pole with a chain. If mario or luigi got to close, they would leap a small distance and would attemped to bite the bros. with razor sharp. teeth.

In super mario world 2, yoshi would find various sizes of chomp including vary large ones. some of them were free to roam, so yoshi would have to hide...

In super mario RPG (roll playing game) you would run up to them like any enemiy and start a battle with them. They generaly have 100 hp, so can be beaten easily.They also appeared in a gold form called chomp-chomps.

Probably the most famous of all is the one in sm64. In bomb-omb battle field, there is a huge chain chomp around the center of the stage. This was the first time chain chomp was in major 3-D. For some reason, I always remember him from sm64. Well, his pole he is attached to has a red coin on top of it, and if you pound the pole 3 time, the chomp will open a gate for you reaveling a star. He does 3 damage, so be carful, since he lunges at you. Also, this is the first game where you can hear him bark.

In yoshi story, a couple can be found, in the jungle level? somewhere in there on a high up area to the left there there. you have to avoid them to get friut.

In super mario sunshine, you had to put the chompletts, and one big one into water to cool them off.

In sm64ds, the chain chomp tipicly does the same things, exect on one star, he is free.

In mario kart double dash and ds, chain chomps can be found in various levels(more info later...)

they can be found in various mario parties, I'll get specifics later

In paper mario 1, you can find the only chomp in the desert levels boss

In paper mario 2, from what I remember, they can be found behind the thousand year door.

In the sports game, the chomp will eat the ball if he gets it.
